Role Overview

The Creative Strategist is responsible for developing, editing, and guiding high-performance creative assets for paid advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and other digital platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of creative execution, strategic thinking, and client communication. You will work closely with the Account Manager and Managing Director to ensure creative assets are delivered on time, on brief, and aligned with performance objectives.

This is a deadline-driven role. Missed deadlines, poor communication, or failure to follow briefs directly impact campaign performance and client retention.

Core Responsibilities

 

1. Creative Production & Editing


  • Edit and produce short-form video creatives for paid ads (Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
  • Edit and enhance photoshoot content for ad use, landing pages, and social platforms
  • Adapt creatives into multiple variations for testing (hooks, formats, angles)
  • Ensure all creative assets align with brand guidelines, ad platform policies, and performance best practices


2. Content Strategy & Brief Creation


  • Create clear, actionable creative briefs for:
    • Video editors
    • Designers
    • UGC creators
    • AI-generated content
  • Translate campaign goals, offers, and targeting into creative direction
  • Provide hook ideas, angles, messaging frameworks, and visual direction
  • Continuously iterate briefs based on performance feedback

3. AI Content Generation & Tool Usage

  • Use AI tools such as:
    • Sora
    • Nano Banana Pro
    • Higgsfield
    • Other approved AI creative tools
  • Generate AI-based video, image, and concept variations efficiently
  • Maintain quality control—AI output must still meet Nectar Ads’ creative standards
  • Stay updated on emerging AI creative tools and workflows


4. Client Communication & Creative Walkthroughs


  • Join client calls when required to:
    • Walk through creative strategy
    • Explain content direction or creative feedback
    • Address creative-related concerns or performance insights
  • Clearly communicate creative decisions in a professional, confident manner
  • Support the Account Manager in maintaining strong client relationships


5. Performance Feedback & Iteration


  • Review ad performance reports related to creative
  • Identify winning creatives, hooks, and angles
  • Recommend iterations, new tests, or creative pivots based on data
  • Work closely with media buyers to align creative with performance goals

Additional Responsibilities (Expected of This Role)


  • Maintain organized creative folders and naming conventions
  • Track creative tasks, deadlines, and deliverables using the company’s project management tools
  • Proactively flag delays, bottlenecks, or risks before deadlines are missed
  • Respond to internal messages within 24 hours maximum
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with media buyers, account managers, and leadership
  • Uphold Nectar Ads’ standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability

Turnaround Time & Deadline Expectations


  • Standard creative turnaround:
    3 business days per task unless otherwise specified in writing
  • Any missed deadline without prior written approval is considered an infraction
  • Delays must be communicated before the deadline—not after
  • Repeated missed deadlines or communication failures will lead to disciplinary action (outlined in the contract)

Required Skills & Experience


  • Proven experience editing short-form video for paid ads
  • Strong understanding of performance-driven creative (hooks, retention, CTAs)
  • Experience working with AI creative tools
  • Ability to clearly explain creative strategy to non-creative stakeholders
  • Strong time management and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • High level of responsiveness, ownership, and accountability
